Baby Blessings...

The past couple of weeks are a blur! Drove to SC on April 4th after receiving call from my daughter that she had been admitted to the hospital. The doctors had to perform emergency surgery on Thursday and the newest addition arrived at 12:03 am Friday. They flew her out to another hospital. I just thank God that all is going as well as can be expected now and little Berkely Jill is making progress. She weighed in at 5 lbs 3 oz (which is amazing for being almost 6 weeks early). She was down to about 4 lbs 15 oz yesterday, but she ate well yesterday so we are praying for her to continue to do well. She was released from NICU and in the Special Care Nursery now, but still in the hospital 1 1/2 hours from where my daughter lives. Mother is doing well considering all she has been through.

Yesterday was the first time I was able to hold her - she actually looks like she is smiling :-)

Today I am thankful for LIFE and family.
